I have done this on an 8961 and works great being able to have 5 line appearances and the ability to call-forward all on each of the lines from the phone. Looks like we need to upsell, huh?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Keep in mind CUCM treats each line as separate from the device it lives on. You can't configure CFA on a device, you configure it on a line, and it will apply to all instances of that line. The capability on a device is called DND but
you can't pick a dynamic DND destination. </p>

At the root of the problem is that the 7900 series phones have not been programmed to reflect the current forwarding state of anything but the primary line, so even when you do forward non-primary lines, nothing on the phone tells you this is case.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><br>

There are some third party applications that you can buy which will allow the user to forward non-primary lines from the phone, but again, without the ability to reflect forwarding state, there are limited. Some of them have gone so far as to edit the line
text label to include forwarding state, but this breaks other line text label settings.<br>
