i usually integrate the ucm and presence with ldap to avoid issues also with IM so whenever the user wants to add a contact it's indeed displayed on the list<br><br>i can see that happening the account with RO access to the user's mailbox is going to try look for that user's userid and if it doesn't find it whenever the user has a meeting on the calendar it won't change the status to "in a meeting"<br>

In the Integration Guide for configuring CUPS 8.5 with exchange it mentions the following in the Prerequisite Configuration Tasks under <b>Active Directory Compatibility Matrix</b></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"> </span></span></u></b></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">For our customer the user names in Active Directory do not match the <b>User ID</b> in Call Manager. The reason being is we have set the User ID to be the extension number to make it easier for them to utilise extension mobility. </span></p>
