<p class="MsoNormal">We are in the process of upgrading from CCM 4.2(3) to CUCM 8.X really soon. To give you some background.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">First, I am not confident the current system was built correctly in the first place, but it seems somewhat stable.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Old system currently running:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">CUCM 4.2(3)Sr4b (user accounts are integrated with Unity active directory)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Unity 4.0 (windows 2000)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Emergency Responder 1.2<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Upgrading to:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">CUCM 8.5 or 8.6<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Unity connection 8.6<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Emergency Responder 8.5<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">In my opinion, it may be too much of a risk that it could crash the old system by trying to back out of the current AD integration, then exporting data out. There is no guarantee the export will work, not to mention there is no direct
upgrade between CUCM 4.2 and CUCM 8.X, nor is there a direct upgrade from Unity 4 to Unity connection 8. I also think the same is true for CER.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">BTW, we are also planning to do LDAP sync with our domain AD in the new system.<o:p></o:p></p>
