<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">The Main reason for upgrading is to get the tool to give you an amount of DLUs equivalent to what you currently have in terms of phones, If you do a clean install, you would have to open a case with licensing,
explain your predicament, they will ask you for all the data, Phone quantity ,etc and build you a license file.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">First, I am not confident the current system was built correctly in the first place, but it seems somewhat stable.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">CUCM 4.2(3)Sr4b (user accounts are integrated with Unity active directory)<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Emergency Responder 1.2<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">In my opinion, it may be too much of a risk that it could crash the old system by trying to back out of the current AD integration, then exporting data out. There is no guarantee the export will work, not to mention there is no direct
upgrade between CUCM 4.2 and CUCM 8.X, nor is there a direct upgrade from Unity 4 to Unity connection 8. I also think the same is true for CER.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">BTW, we are also planning to do LDAP sync with our domain AD in the new system.<o:p></o:p></p>
