The physical part of the hookswitch just pushes plastic between the two parts of the sensor when released, breaking the optical connection. I did try taking one of them apart, found the sensor, and it wasn’t dirty (and I tried blowing it off, but the phone was in a standard office location).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>I’ll look into the repair option, but I’m not sure I care all that much personally.
