state until CUCM was re-booted, our engineering teams inadvertently introduced a corner-case scenario in which a duplicate memory cleanup operation would result in the failure of the call processing module via an invalid memory de-reference (NULL pointer).

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif";color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif";color:black">While this issue was only seen twice and very late in our testing cycle, we have determined that it is repeatable under very specific, timing-related circumstances and the result is
the loss of system call processing until the primary call control module is restarted.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif";color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif";color:black">While the frequency of occurrence of this defect is low, its occurrence (and the occurrence of the original SIP de-registration defect) is unacceptable to us, as we know it would be
to our customers as well. We have quickly taken action to defer this release from our CCO download site and have halted customer shipments of this release until its replacement (8.6(2a)) can be made available. While we cannot yet specify an exact date for
availability, the expected schedule range for the posting of the 8.6(2a) re<a name="_GoBack"></a>lease to CCO is: 10/10/2011 to 10/24/2011.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
