I have never, and probably will never (since they keep changing it) understand Cisco licensing! lol! So what if I buy a spare today, say from CDW? Say a spare wireless phone. Now what if I have 100 extra DLUs unused on my CM 8. Would that phone work, or do I still need to buy an RTU?<br>

If you bought the spare part number with the = sign attached then you never technically purchased the RTU license to allow you to use that phone with CCM. The idea would have been you purchased a phone with the RTU and it failed. You then replaced that phone with the spare phone. You only used one phone at any given time.<u></u><u></u></span></p>

Say I have a phone with the = on the end of the PN, if I connect it to my network running 8.x, will it work (as long as I have enough DLUs or whatnot on my CM)?<br>
