Lelio,<div><br></div><div>The document i am referring to is official cisco documentation:</div><div><a href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/8_5_1/delta/delta.html#wp1849900">http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/8_5_1/delta/delta.html#wp1849900</a> </div>
<div><br></div><div>Cisco ofcourse preserves the right to decide whatever they want made public.</div><div>however in this case, it shows that they are referring to the SCCP version as the only differentiator, a comment in the documentation for reference to TAC or Account Team for more info would be better,</div>
<div>Thus preventing this discussion on the forum, as i would have contacted the right channels for this. (which i will have to do now anyway :-) )</div><div>Seeing there are some tricks to find out which version is actually used when using a specific firmware version, why not publish this information, in order to prevent every partner having to test which version is actually implemented in the firmware?</div>
<div>I don`t see why this should be such a secret, if the SCCP version 20 is not implemented in the firmware, then it simply is not available right?</div><div>If it is on the roadmap for a certain version of firmware, i understand it is not published, but then please comment this in the documentation.</div>
<div>It makes it very difficult for us, to retrieve the correct information, if we are pointed to something, which we are unable to verify.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div><br></div><div>Erik</div><div> <br><br>

<li>if there is official Cisco documentation (including bugs) that list SCCP version numbers, the SCCP version number should probably be listed in the release notes for that firmware</li><li>if there is disagreement whether to publish SCCP version support (which is OK, heck it's your product) there should not be any documentation that uses SCCP version as the only differentiator, i.e. if you wish to include it for reference, fine, but listing firmware versions that we have access to will be necessary</li>
</ul><p>that being said, if you really want to know what version of SCCP a firmware has, you can register it to an SRST host and during the registration process, I believe the SCCP version number is kicked out. not ideal, but you'll get some idea.<br>
