Duh, guess I totally missed where you said that.  I can't say anything
about the 69XX models, haven't used them yet.

Subject: Re: [cisco-voip] Poor Receiving Audio on 69xx, CUCM 8.5.1

Hi,
when i say poor audio receiving, i mean choppy (cutting in, in the
remote site).
This is noticed ONLY on 69xx!!
All 7911, 7961 can hear nice (even in g711) so the upload bandwidth of
the central site is not the problem.
I didn't want to use g711 since i though it is more bw consuming.
That is why i tried g729 (and ilbc)
All the times, only the 69xx could not receive well (choppy audio,
cutting in)

Also, did you configure the codec to be used between each site and the HQ
in Regions?  We recently installed 8.5 and I noticed when the codec was set
to "64 kbps (G.722, G.711)" the codec actually used on the call was G.722
and it sounded terrible.  I had to go into CallManager service parameters
and set "G.722 Code Enabled" to disabled.  After this, the calls sounded
fine.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Poor Receiving Audio on 69xx, CUCM 8.5.1

Hi all,
in a CUCM 8.5 i have several 69xx and 79xx at a remote site.
The HQ has a cluster of 2 CUCMs 8.5.1
There is 30ms RTT between HQ and remote site and data packet loss.
Though, all 69xx at the remote site have very poor audio either with
g711, g729 or iLBC!!
The other end at the remote site hears fine with no disruptions.
All 7911, and 7961 at the remote site have very good reception of g729
or g711.
Could the 69XX be such a bad product?

BTW, they run the latest firmware.

BR
Anthony
