<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D">A customer wants to use a single extension, per employee, to use for phone calls and also for receiving personal faxes to a fax box on a fax server.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D">E.g. if employee A has phone-extension 1234, employee A should get phone calls on this extension, and also receive faxes on 1234.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D">From the customers perspective the routing of the call should work automatically. So the call must not be answered at any point before the system decides if it is a phone call or a fax call. For
that reason the well-known fax_detect.tcl script will unfortunately be no option.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D">Unfortunately at this particular customer there is also no way to add a prefix to the phone number, to be used as fax number (e.g. phone=1234, fax=91234).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="color:#1F497D">My only idea on this is to route the call based on the ISDN Bearer-Capability. If bearer-cap equals “Speech”, call will be routed to the phone. If bearer-cap equals “3.1 kHz”, call will be routed
to the fax server. Even, if I know that this information might not be reliable 100%, I currently see no other chance to manage it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
