      <a href="https://itprice.com/cisco/cp-8845-nc-k9=.html" target="_blank">https://itprice.com/cisco/cp-8845-nc-k9=.html</a> indicates that the "NC" phone is "Non-China" Country of Origin. I don't know that for sure, but I thought it was an interesting, undocumented interpretation. At least it would explain why it's more expensive.
