Changing display string of port?<BR><BR></FONT></DIV><!-- Converted from text/rtf format -->
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>One of the ports in our BD (6.2.2b68) has had the
misfortune of being configured with a display-string of "2". The actual
port number is 2:30. We're trying to configure the port, but the
display-string is causing "issues".</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>For example:</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial
size=2>CES1.LONI:13 # conf port
2
</FONT><BR><FONT face=Arial size=2>Next possible completions:</FONT> <BR><FONT
face=Arial size=2> <port id>
</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>CES1.LONI:13 # conf port 2 redundant </FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've tried variations on using unconfigure or
"2"ing the port name with no luck.</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>The options I think I have are:</FONT> <BR><FONT
face=Arial size=2>1) unconfigure the whole slot and rebuild all the configs on
the blade</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial size=2>2) unconfigure the switch,
reboot, and paste the config (minus the display string command) back
in.</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial size=2>3) use another port….</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Any other ideas or hints would be
appreciated.</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks,</FONT> </P>
