Tuc
An easier solution would be to create a ssh tunnel and forward the port.
ssh -L 1200:1.1.1.1:23 username at 1.1.1.2
1.1.1.1 device that lost its default route.
1.1.1.2 another device on the same lan.
So when you telnet 127.0.0.1 1200 it forwards you to 1.1.1.1 23

Thanks,
      Patrick.

Subject: [f-nsp] Way to port forward?

Hi,

I have a colo customer at a remote site that rebooted his
box and lost his default route. Short of going onsite to fix it,
he said if I could forward port 5800 from another IP in the subnet
he might be able to gain control over the server. Is there some
way I can do this easily?

	Its configured as :

vlan 55 name G-COLO by port
 untagged ethe 33
 router-interface ve 55

!
interface ethernet 33
 port-name G-COLO
 speed-duplex 100-full

!
interface ve 55
 port-name G-COLO
 ip address A.B.C.D 255.255.255.248

I'd really appreciate any help as its a 1 1/2 hr drive,
and minimum $30 tolls/parking.

		Thanks, Tuc/TBOH
