Hello,

I currently have a Cisco 3550 setup routing vlans and everything is great
with that and the Cisco 2950's.

So I just got in a EIF2402CF to test and cannot get it to work. I cannot
ping the default gateway (on 3550) setup for the subnet I am testing. The
vlan/subnet I am testing with is Vlan 2.

Here is what I have for a config.

Cisco 3550

-------------------------

interface FastEthernet0/11

 description Uplink to EIF2402CF-1

 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

 switchport mode trunk

interface Vlan2

 description APC-Reboot-VLAN

 ip address 204.16.245.65 255.255.255.224 secondary

 ip address 208.10.143.161 255.255.255.224

dist0-1.pitbpa#sh int trunk

Port Mode Encapsulation Status Native vlan

Fa0/11 on 802.1q trunking 1

Fa0/23 on 802.1q trunking 1

Fa0/24 on 802.1q trunking 1

Port Vlans allowed on trunk

Fa0/11 1-4094

Fa0/23 1-4094

Fa0/24 1-4094

Port Vlans allowed and active in management domain

Fa0/11 1-22

Fa0/23 1-22

Fa0/24 1-22

Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned

Fa0/11 1-22

Fa0/23 1-22

Fa0/24 1-22

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------

EIF2402CF Config:

vlan 2 name remote-reboot

 tagged ethernet 1/23 to 1/25

interface ethernet 1/23

 description rrp3-1

interface ethernet 1/25

 switchport mode trunk

Please let me know if there is any other config you need.

Everything looks fine to me, but when plugged into port 23 on the EIF and
trying to ping the default gateway for vlan 2 on the 3550, I get nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brendan
