[f-nsp] GRE tunnels with the VRRP-E on Netiron series

Dear All,

 

I need to create GRE tunnel between two sites and one of these sites
contains two NetIron boxes.

 

The two NI working with VRRP-E.

 

What I will do, is to configure the GRE tunnels on the NI with the
source address= the VRRP-e address and the destination address= the
remote site address.

 

My questions now:

 

1.       is it applicable to use the VRRP-e ip in the tunnel
configuration?

2.       If yes, will the backup switch build the tunnel with the remote
site or it will wait until the master fail then it will build it?

3.       What will be the source ip in the encapsulated packet in case
we used the Vrrp-e ip as the source ip?  

4.       If the master failed, the remote site will feel with it or not?

 

I will appreciate your fast responses and thanks in advance.
