Martin,

I would suggest that the Foundry mailing list is probably not the correct place for this question. In any case, I suggest referring to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/products_tech_note09186a00800a7b80.shtml to see if you can improve things.

Regards,

Patrick

Subject: [f-nsp] Input Errors on Cisco 7201

Installed an ADX 1000 connected to a Cisco 7201 router. The Gig Ethernet port on the 7201 in now showing a lot of Input Errors:
5 minute input rate 10915000 bits/sec, 4602 packets/sec
 5 minute output rate 4218000 bits/sec, 4428 packets/sec
666147856 packets input, 1325173006 bytes, 0 no buffer
    Received 478607 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
    67718 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 67718 ignored
Called Cisco and they said it is because the switch is bursting and is overload the buffers and is causing Broadcast storm.
Is there a fix for this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Martin
