We tried hitless a couple of years ago, with 5.1x I believe. Bad move. It
seemed to work, but we figured only hours and days later, that some parts of
the configuration stopped to work properly. If I remember correctly, it
introduced silently blackholes in the BGP table, which is really nasty.

Since this experience we gave up to use hitless upgrades.
