That's pretty much a Cisco proprietary feature, not something that is standard to any routing protocol. Basically, it is so you can send your money to Cisco instead of your telecom vendor. You can buy a router that works around a congested link instead of getting a bigger link.<br>
<br>My personal feeling is that if you are resorting to such gymnastics to avoid congestion, then there might be problems at layer 8 in the organization and you are really just routing around that.<br><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">
