HELP my rig died!

I am a new ham (45 days) who purchased an HW-101. It has been working great
until today. After a 1 hour qso I turned it off, when I turned it back on 2
hours later it was dead. Tubes are lighting up. No signal reception. Only a
Hiss in the speaker. No Tune-Up nor any marked response from any other mode.
The only previous difficulty that I had prior to this was that the driver
preselector would get jumpy from time to time. I suspect dust on the
variable capacitor would cause the arcing.

I suspect my problem may be a tube. Does anyone have any ideas?????? I don't
have access to a tube tester unfortunately. Any and all input is gratefully
appreciated. Thank you so very much in advance.
