Restored SB-102 Tuning Problems...

Advice?  I have an SB-102 that gets a great signal report, but I'm afraid
I'm going to burn up my finals...
When I tune up to 100 watts and switch to read my plate voltage, its off
the scale.  When I back off my Mic/CW Level control to read approximately
250 mA as the manual says, my rf output drops to no more than around 30-50
watts output.  Being a greenhorn, I thought I'd ask for advice as to what
I'm faced
with...
