VF1 MOD for DX60B/HW16

Hi,
         I have a VF1 that I would like to modify to run with the DX60B and
or HW16. I understand there is a mod that can be made to the VF1 to
accomplish this.  I would appreciate hearing from someone who knows how to
do this. Also, I understand there is a book or folio of mods that can be
accomplished to the HW /DX series radios. I would enjoy getting a copy of
that somehow. I think  it is referenced as the Hot Water Handbook, but not
sure. Thanks very much in advance for any info.
