Matthew,
The SB-310 is a SW broadcast band receiver, virtually the same as
the SB-301 ham band receiver, with the most noticable difference being
the lack of the VHF converter switch on the lower right-hand corner. On
the SB-310, this position is just the RF Gain control. This is a very
good receiver, and very few SWBC radios can compare with it for overall
quality, either hollow- or solid-state, the exception being anything made
by Collins. :{)

I have one of these, which sits prominently in my shop and is in
constant use for background entertainment while I'm working there in the
evenings.

        I gotta go.

                                          Regards,

                                          Chris
