Hi. KB7PWD here from Tempe, AZ. Never actually got to assemble any Heathkits
but have picked up some of the gear. My first printer was a Heath serial
line printer (low-res dotmatrix; the characters with descenders looked
really goofy!). A couple of the pins froze up, and I took the printhead
apart to try and loosen them up but didn't succeed. It's been sitting around
ever since. Got an HD4040 TNC at a hamfest a few years ago. It occasionally
resets for no particular reason but otherwise works. I got a KPC 9612
and my dad is using the Heath.
Last weekend I picked up a Shawnee 6m rig. I would like to find a manual
or a copy thereof if anybody has one. My dad tells me there are some
parts available to convert it to SSB rather than AM. Guess it would be nice
to find that too.
I also have an x-y plotter and a DTMF mic. That's all I can think of.
