My intro

Thanks to K2UXE for passing along the 'sign-up' procedure.
Not much Heath stuff left around here, just an AR-15 I built in the early 70's
- but it's been used practically every day in those 20+ years - and the only
bug so far was a missed solder joint that waited 15 years to show itself.

Some HR stuff I've built: SB-100 (used it mobile in a Corvair), SB-401/303,
couple of SB-220s, Tons of clocks, thermometers, a couple other stereos,
speakers, almost forgot... a cruise control for my '76 Buick.

Other's I've owned (second, or third, or fourth hand) Apache/SB-10 combo that
got me on SSB, DX-100, a couple of HWs (32s?) too.

That reminds me... anybody have my old Apache? It's rather unique. The
modulation transformer shorted... (purists, stop reading now!...) so I gutted
the audio section, replaced the modulation transformer with a home wound plate
transformer, then replaced the 6146's with a couple of 4cx250s. It had a huge
blower hanging out the back.

For the purists that didn't heed my warning and are ready to throw bricks...
what did I know? I was only 17!!

By-the-way... I'm looking for an Apache...
