DX-40 / HG-10

Hello all...
        Iam having trouble with Drift (votage drop) of the VFO when hooked up
to my DX-40.  I know that they can be used together but I
cant get a good steady voltage to supply the VFO.  Where should I be
taking the B+ from and what should the voltage be???
