HW-16 side-tone question

Heath-ers,

I recently acquired an HW-16 with a HG-10b vfo which works great.  I really
like the rig except for one thing.  The side-tone is very loud.  Loud enough
that I have to take the headphones off when I am transmitting.  The rig did
not come with the manuals so my question is how do I turn the side-tone
volume down?
