Need INfo and part

Hello Heathites!  I've been restoring two ID-1490 combination
clock/thermometers and need some information.  One of these units came
without temp probes.  According to the book, these are part # 100-1697.  The
schematic list these as a black box with no info on the inards of the probe.
Unlike the earlier model which used two diodes in series, these units are a
little more complicated than this.  Anyone have any info on the inner
workings of these probes?  Additionally, I need to replace some display
driver chips specifically the
UHP-481 and UHP-491.  If anyone knows a source for these chips please let me
