Pawnee-Shawnee

Good afternoon all,

I recently picked up Pawnee which is in need of some major work.
The wiring harness in the center power supply section has spent
too much time too close to a too hot power resistor and has become
a mass of shorted wires and melted insulation.

The W7FG manual copy I have is not quite up to the task of giving
me enough information to disassemble and reassemble the radio.  It
is only a partial manual with no pictorials and construction
information. He does have a complete manual for the Shawnee.  So
I have a couple of questions.

1.  Are the Pawnee and Shawnee similar enough in the power supply
and modulator area to use one manual to rebuild the other radio?
If so I will get the Shawnee manual and go from there.

2.  If they are not similar, then does anyone know of a source of
a complete Pawnee manual or copy?

Please don't take the above as a criticism of W7FG or his manuals.  I
have purchased a number of manuals from him and have been pleased
with the quality and service.  It's just that the Pawnee manual
in particular is not quite up to the job at hand.  It would be
adequate for minor maintenance and tune-up however.
