SB-200/220 exciter only mode

Hi folks:
Another way to put the SB-200 or 220 in the exciter only mode (another than
turning the power off) is to open the relay control line to the exciter.
I've used two methods:

One, build a switch box with an ON-OFF SPST switch on the front and 2 RCA
jacks on the back. (Do hams still build?) Route the relay control through
this box. ON for normal amplifier operation, OFF for exciter only.  I use an
ON-OFF-ON switch and 3 jacks for control either by a SB-101 or a HX-1681.

Two, (this one requires mods to the amplifier) Replace the "Rel Pwr" pot
with one of the same value but with a switch. Route the relay control wire
through this switch on its way to the rear panel jack.  Now just turn the
rel pwr control all the way CCW for exciter only mode.  This one will
probably excite more than the amplifier but I intend not to sell my -200
(I've had it 25 years so far) so mods don't bother me!
