Mohawk audio response techie question!!!

Hi, Greenies,

My Mohawk has reasonable audio, but certainly doesn't have response
that's really pleasant to listen to.

I wonder about something: There's a suspicious .003mF old original
tubular coupling cap from the plate of the 12AT7 audio stage to the grid
of the 6AQ5 audio output. And, there's a VERY suspicious original 2mF
50V electrolytic from the 6AQ5 cathode to ground. Using a megger, these
caps seem to be all right. Now, what about values? Is there anything I
could change to achieve a little more interstage coupling and better
bass response? Anyone have a thought on this??

73,
