Good question Gerry!
Since you have university connections you might check your
library's archives. The library here at the UW in Seattle, WA,
no longer subscribes to QST but use to. They keep what QST's
they have in the basement archives, bound by year. Libraries
are known to engage in inter-library loan so if you don't find
what you want...ask a librarian!

Another good place to find a full set of QST's is with your local
radio club. When I lived in Tacoma, WA, the Radio Club of Tacoma
had a full set of QST and I believe CQ as well as other magazines.
Their club house is a treasure trove of information.
