There is a phone number to call to get spare parts for the Heath GC-1000
Most Accurate Clock.

You can contact Heath at the following number:
616-925-5899.

You will need the Heath part number that you are looking for when you call.
Most of the parts are common, off-the-shelf stuff except for the uP.

You should be able to make repairs to the clock yourself IF you have the
original manual from Heath.  It will guide you through the troubleshooting
phases.

Good luck in finding a spare GC-1000 clock.  As with most good things, once
they are discontinued, their value continues to rise in proportion to the
number available.  This was a great product, albeit, a little on the pricey
side for a clock.  It's a nice convenience not to have to tune in WWV to
get the accurate time.  Just a glance at the nice bright red display
instantly tells you what the precise time currently is.  Oh well...now you
can buy cheaper versions.  But you get what you pay for.  Or you can spend
over $10,000 to get a very accurate version from other companies.  This
would be a great product to re-engineer into a low current CMOS version
using today's low current IC's.

Anyone out there know of a good product that is like the GC-1000 Most
Accurate Clock, that is available today?

Anybody out there in Heathland know where I can get parts
and repairs made to a Most Accurate Clock????
I would also like to purchase another one (with a serial port
adapter) as a spare.
