HD-1250 Mishap/ Foam Problem

Most of the foam in anyone's equipment.
I had a Bird Meter with the same problem.
That is older then about 15 years.
Falls apart, gets sticky, gummy and oily.
The Black foam really gets ugly.

To remove the sticky gummy mess
WD-40
The oil base will remove the gum.
Watch it around plastic < I have never had a problem but.. >
it takes time to work but it does well.

The newer foam that is Gray.
That is used by the computer industry to ship with Hard Drives,
Mother Boards, CD Rom Drives etc.
Works well and does not have the problems that the black did.
You can find it at any computer store just ask them for some or look in
the trash cans.
Make sure that it does not have a yellow look. < to much SUN >
Some it the foam is quite dense and cuts well with a sharp knife.
