Hi, gang.
Just wanted y'all to know that my "new" DX-20 arrived at the front door
yesterday while I was sleeping ( I work the graveyard shift at GE ).
Anyway, after removing a 0.1 ohm resistor that had been installed in the
cathode circuit of the 6CL6 oscillator in place of the 1.1 millihenry choke
and then temporarily connecting one winding of a little audio transformer as a
quick and dirty choke ( haven't found a suitable replacement choke... yet )
and replacing a soft 6DQ6 final, the DX-20 came roaring back to life !
Puts out about 50 watts on forty, so far.
Have some light restoring to do but this little xmtr is a real jewel. Happy
feet !
