Frequency Counter IB-1101

I just checked our master manual files to see what the difference is between
the IB-101 and the IB-1101.

The two units do look the same, but they are not the same operationally. The
range spec for the IB-101 is 1 Hz to greater than 15 MHz, while the range
spec for the IB-1101 is 1 Hz to over 100 MHz. I think these units came from
a period of time when we came out with a new, better, frequency counter
every couple of months.

Another one from this vintage that an engineer gave me several years ago is
an IB-1103, which goes up to over 250 MHz. This unit has selectable gating
rates, and I use it to set everything from tone squelch frequencies to
checking transmitter frequencies at a local radio station (where I
moonlight). Incidently, after about 10 years of using this counter, I
brought it in to check the calibration on our 10 MHz standard, and found it
to be only 4 Hz off!
