RF Probe for a Heathkit VTVM

This information is from the RF probe on my IT-12 Visual Aural Signal
Tracer, but I have seen similar probes used on VTVM and the like.

In the probe lead there is a crystal diode and ceramic capacitor
connected in series.  The capacitor is .001uF and I believe the diode is
a common geranium diode, but I could be wrong.  See "picture"  below with
a fixed width font.
