Sandy:
The filter in my HW-101 is marked 404-284-1. It is also
marked as 400 Hz wide Zin-Zout 2K Ohms. Of course I have no manual
and I don't have it working so can't be sure mine is right either,
but I believe mine is stock. Is your filter marked with anything
besides the part number?
BTW. Thanks for the advice on the glowbug rig. I had
considered using a 5763 to drive the 4-125's, but I wasn't sure it
would be enough on 40 and 80. The 2E26 is also a good idea. Do you
think the 5763 will have enough gas? I have plenty of them but only 2
ea 2E26.

Hello lovers of the green,
I have a Heath CW filter, part nr. 404-548. Is this the correct
filter for
the HW-101 for CW? It seems to work OK receiving, but there is a terribly
large drop in RF drive for the transmitter when its selected. I can
compensate on some bands, but cannot on others, especially 40 meters.
Is this the right filter or maybe I have a bad one?
73,
Sandy W5TVW
