Heath Marauder (HX-10) Question

     I recently have restored a HX-10 to life.  It works very well in all
     respects but one.  Not bad for a transmitter that is between 33-36
     years old!  When using VOX for SSB or AM it does not work.  CW through
     VOX is fine; works like a champ.  PTT in either SSB or AM works and
     sounds fine.  Audio sounds great and the CW note sounds good.  Just VOX
     when using SSB or AM does not.  Not one peep.  Does not seem to matter
     where the DELAY/SENSITIVITY/ANTI-TRIP is set.  SPOT is fine.
     Microphone is a D-104.  My receiver (NC-303) is hooked up correctly so
     it mutes and does what the connecting cable is supposed to do.  Am
     looking for some good ideas and suggestions.
