Jordan,
Yep Understand that. Well, the 440 does not have PTT/GND point..
at least I don't see it.....There is a 7 pin din which handles/provides
+12V for whatever, ALC input, Foot control/ptt, Rxc, TXc, CMc.

The HA14 has -120 on one side of the relay coil, the other side goes
out via the "Relay" jack. Normally on Heath exciters, there is a set
of pins on a relay that puts the relay line to ground on PTT or VOX.
When that line goes to ground the Amplifiers relay energizes and "puts"
the Amp in Xmit mode. The "Soft-key" installed, "converts" that -120 to
12V or so something the 440 can handle. But the relays in the 440
while switching from RX to TX, do not put the Amp relay line to gnd...
at least I can't see it.....too old and mushy brain matter I guess...

Now I'm sure that somebody out there must have connected a 440 to a
Heath Amp.....
