Heath HW-7, power supply and manual for sale:

This would be a good project rig. I bought this used at the Rochester
Hamfest back in the 70's, and it's been in storage since 1979 until I got
back on the air a few months ago. Has all original knobs and feet. Case
has a couple of marks and needs a cleanup, but otherwise looks good.
Tuning dial is worn and smeared a bit.

Comes with HWA-7-1 power supply. Cable to the rig is non-standard, but the
stock connector is there.

I've powered up the rig and get output on all 3 bands. The VFO frequency
is a bit off as compared to what's on the dial, but the full CW bands are
available.

The receiver is marginal. I can copy some loud signals, but the infamous
HW-7 microphonics are pretty bad. There are a few mods to the rig
attempting to tame the receiver, but nothing would be difficult to remove.
One of the mods is a Ramsey broadband RF pre-amp that improves sensitivity
but didn't help with the microphonics, and possibly overloads the front end.

I'm including the original manual. It's in decent condition, with
checkmarks for construction and a few stained pages. I also have copies of
the following articles:

"HW-7 QRP Tranciever Modifications" from QST January 1974
"New Front End for Heath HW-7" from QST December 1973
"Slippers for the HW-7 Transceiver" from QST December 1975

Price is US $75 or best offer including shipping to continental US and Canada.
