Tape residue

Hello:

In the picture framing industry, there is a product called "Unseal', made by
Seal Products. They don't tell you what it is, but MSDS said heptane. It's
used as an adhesive release (glue remover). There is very little it bothers
in terms of inks, paints, plastics, etc, but I have never tried it myself on
Heath plastics. Masking tape is nasty stuff...I don't know why it's so
different from other tapes. I don't remember if Unseal works on masking
tape, but in principle it should.

Rather than dealing with the hazards of shipping hazardous materials to each
other, try your local frame shop (or yellow pages first) and see if someone
will sell you an ounce, or whatever.

It stinks, and like any solvent, should be used with proper ventilation and
eye protection if you're prone to getting thinks in your eyes.

Murray
