Broken Toroids

Thank you to all who responded to my plea for help. About ten people wrote
back, so I'm sending a summary note to thank everyone.

The consensus is that the broken toroid will tend to work satisfactorily at
low power, but may be very problematic at high power. Since I run up to a
killowatt with the SB-1000, I'll replace the toroids.

The verdict is that the measurements are indeed for the T-200 toroid, and the
red color is the -2 version of the toroid. The -2 is also in the frequency
range of 500 Khz to 30 Mhz.

Many people wrote with various sources for parts. I found an excellent
resource on the web who sells Amidon toroids in small quantity. The Toroids
cost $4.50 each. Their link is as follows:

To everyone who wrote to me, thank you again.

73,

Rob, W3DX
