HW-101 - Putting it on Three Megs!/Putting SB line on other frequencies....

I built an SB-310 in 1968. I had crystals for a number of bands other than
the standard bands that came with it.

I covered 3000-3500 kHz and was even able to tune stations on 3395 kHz (an
Ecuadorian, I think it was) and 3396 kHz (an African I liked to listen to),
even though the IF was 3395.

I covered 4600-5100 kHz for the 60 meter tropical band. Didn't do too well
at 5050, where the LMO and the tuning range crossed <grin>, but I could
easily tune Lome on 5047 kHz.

I also has a switch inside on the chassis to switch the AM/SSB filters
independently of the mode.

Now clearly what folks need to do is sell me their SB-310s and buy SB-301s.
