Cleaner question

Hello all,

   I have a SB-200 that has an ugly layer of what seems to be cigarette
tar/nocotine on the Face panel.  I have tried a couple of household
cleaners on it but cannot get it all of. I am afraid to use something
that may be too strong and wind up removing the lettering and paint
along with the stain.  Can anyone recommend a product that they have had
good results with cleaning this kind of stain ?  Thanks.
