hw-16 and HG-10b

Hello all.. I have a Heath HW-16 and HG-10B, but I
don't know squat about working with it. I also do
not have any crystals. I've never got the VFO to
work right, and as a matter of fact, I don't even know
how to tune it up. I never had a decent antenna hooked
up to it, just a wire. I only paid 50 bux for it at a
hamfest in 1993, and I've never gotten any use out of it.

Is this unit worth doing anything with, or is it going to
be a waste of time for me ?? I really don't want to do anything
except use the novice bands right now, to improve my CW. I'd
be willing to swap/trade or work to get the rig fixed. Any and all
suggestions are welcome at this point. OK, 73 de Curtis.
