SB-101 Saga Ending

Hello Gang, Boy did I waste a lot of time, chasing  a neg to pos avc problem
voltage in this SB-101.... Now we all know that the control grid on any tube
in the IF stages has to have a negative voltage on it at all times...If it
doesn't  then you got a bad series cap to the grid or some thing wrong in
the cathode circuit But i Never figured on this.
WELL, I lived and learned... with this SB-101. IT was the tube manufactor...
Had an RCA  for V3 , Joe Lutz's SB-101 Bullitent says NO NO NO RCA,
only a GE... I said Bull S___.   But guess what it did the trick....

I plugged 4 or more RCA 6Au6's and they all caused the s _ meter to
dump...


Hope this helps some one... with the Sb-101, SB-102 and the HW-101/...
