On 20 Feb 98, Bill, lewplum at WEBTV.NET, asked for production date info on
the Heath BE-3 Battery Eliminator and IG-102 Signal Generator.
I'll try my best to help, although my collection of Heath catalogs
has a lot of gaps.
BE-3 : I show this item listed in a 1952 Heath Booklet. No other info.
IG-102 : My records show this 2-tube RF signal generator offered from
1966 to 1976. It should be noted that the IG-102 was a repackaged RF-1,
which was offered from 1959 to early '60s.
Heath repackaged many of their test equipment kits along with a change
of model number. The RF-1 (and BE-3) reflect the original Heath numbering
scheme whereas the IG-102 reflects the system adopted in the 1960s - I for
Instrument and G for Generator.
Hope this helps. Mike
