Ray,

The substitutes were sold as IMA-18-1 which replaced the 6AL5 and 12AU7.
According to their add, one device was a high voltage amplifier
containing 4 FET's and the other contained 2 special diodes with low
forward drop.  Claimed benefits were instant on, no warm up so no pointer
=-drift re-zeroing.  Problem is, its then no longer a BA.  73, Doug
