This discussion has got me thinking....how many different general
purpose (i.e. excluding the AC only ones for audio use etc) did Heath
make. I have a IM-11 and IM-13 (the latter I find better than the former)
and know about the V-6, V-7, V-7A and IM-18 VTVM's. The 1953 ad I have
for the V-6 implies that there were earlier models (V-1 through V-5?)
but that the V-6 was the first to have a 1.5 volt range. I assume
that the IM-18 was the last. My IM-13 has 1966 date codes on the tubes
(both orginal Daystrom) and the VTVM still works as if it was new.
I brought it used in the mid 80's (second piece of Heath test equipment
I ever owmed, after the TC-2 Tube Checker).
