Someone say, stuck slug?

Did a "jillion" this way while converting over 3000 CB's to 10 meters
some years ago, and found it to be most successful in the 30 Mhz
equipment, with no delitorious effects. Dozens of cracked and chipped
slugs were turned over after removal and reinstalled, as well. The
technique was to remove the coil from the board, touch the hot iron
breifly top the top of the slug while applying gentle torque to the
bottom.
